NAILS: Extension and Design.

Long nails are so beautiful. They enhance a lady's hand.

I wanna get one, but i will get the more tamed, french manicure ones. I'm trying to get my nails longer now so i don't have to mess up getting fake or extensions but my nails are kinda weak. they cannot last for a month, i always end up cutting them. so right now i am browsing for some nail design photos, and trying to decide which one will best suits me: acrylic or gel, or maybe crystal. acrylic lasts longer, but they can easily damage your real nails. gel is more natural looking, but they really don't last that long. and crystal nails are the most expensive ones. well, i gathered some pictures that i got off the net and post them here.

I really like the design: simple and elegant. i really like the fuschia and the black and i think a lil hint of the silver. i'm thinking those are just the tips, not fake nails themselves. its more likely i'm getting this kind instead of the whole false nail that may damage my virgin cuticles (i haven't had false nails before).
I also like this, very simple yet perfect for work. I wanna have nice nails, but I don't want loud and vibrant ones because they may not be good for my work. This one is nearly perfect.
I know I am looking for simple ones but I really fell in love with this one!!! I really like the flowers and silver glitters. Possible for a special occassion.

Need...new MAC Brushes

i just gave my makeup brushes a good shampoo.

and then i noticed that they are all sooooo used up. well they don't really look bad, but their looks gave me a sign that i have to purchase some brand new makeup brushes. but since i'm on a limited budget, i will have to buy the ones that are essential when i'm gonna apply makeup. i have some other makeup brushes that are good as new as i do not really use them, like my lip brushes and this extra blush brush that i got from a brush set that i bought a while ago from MAC.

so the brushes that i need to replace are the following:
MAC 190 SE - which is my foundation brush. i don't wear foundation though; i use tinted moisturizer and i always use this brush when i apply the TM (i use Laura Mercier oil-free TM). and this is an SE brush, meaning i bought this as part of a brush set, and usually for the SE brushes the quality is not at par with the regular 190 brush. the regular one is very expensive though....around $32 USD, though i really think its a good idea to invest on a good brush. so maybe next week i may go to the mall and get myself one.

MAC 187 SE - another one that i got as part of the set. it's really good, although i'm gonna need a new one. i currently use this one to put my loose powder to set my makeup, but once i bought the regular 187, i'm gonna use this one for my MSF.

MAC 252 SE - another SE one. i need a good brush to pat eyeshadow.

Sephora crease brush - i dunno if i'm gonna replace it with a new Sephora brush, or a MAC 222/224, and i'm also considering 217 for replacement.

Brushes that i need to buy:

MAC 266 - i already have MAC 263, and still in good condition, but i use different colors of gel eyeliners....grays, blacks, and browns. and i don't want them mixed up into one brush. i feel that i should have an extra eyeliner brush. 263 and 266 does the same job, but now i'm opting for the 266 one since i already have the 263.

Bobbi Brown ultra fine eyeliner brush - another eyeliner brush for office. i don't want to go to work looking like an emo girl lost in the corporate world. a nice line to define my eyes will be good. maybe i'll also add a black gel eyeliner. man, i'm really angry with my money. ;P

my eyelash curler is still good, i bought it more than a year ago during my tokyo, japan stopover.

hmm....what else?

i think that's all. maybe i'll add a brush bag to store them all in. or maybe i'll just do the sephora-inspired brush holder by enKore of youtube.

perfumes, eye palettes, sets, eyebrow stuff, and other make-up.

they were having a sale last friday on off saks 5th avenue. 25% off everything. that's a good deal, considering you will be paid 1/4 less of the original price. so i bought a betsey johnson scarf (beige color...but i didn't take pic of it, promise, its beautiful) and two perfumes....burberry brit and bvlgari. after my family left jersey gardens mall i ate lunch at our house (mostly leftovers from last night's thanksgiving dinner), and then rest for a lil while, and then i drove straight to short hills mall. that mall is my absolute fave....it has everything that i want. i'm so thankful that i only live like 10 minute drive away from that mall. but during that day, it was so hard to find a parking space. i ended up parking at the rooftop and taking the elevator to the mall. well, not really a hassle for me since i haven't been to the gym for a long time. i went straight to a freestanding MAC store and purchased the Curiositease collection sets: warm pigment set that comes with 5 pigments in tiny vials, and the soft sparkle eye pencil set that comes with 5 colorful eye pencils with sparkles. along with that, i purchased the plushlash mascara, coz i need a mascara. then i headed to sephora and got myself some brow stuff, such as benefit high brow and speed brow (brow gel), also from benefit. also got a tarte lipsheer, its like a tinted lipbalm and i think this is perfect for everyday use. since i'm a beauty insider member, i reached the $100 beauty mark and i get like a free stuff from them, and i chose the full size bare minerals blush in true. then i walked around the mall, looking at those luxury car displays....i really love the audi TT in bright red. then i went to nordstrom MAC counter and i saw chris, the MA who has been helping me there since summer. it feels so nice there coz there's this bright red carpet that separates the beauty department from the shoe department. i purchased the royal assets cool eye palette....which i think is really gorgeous and worth the $36, and a paint pot in bare study. then after that, i went home with a big smile on my face.

i love shopping! i love shopping together with getting a good bargain!

first of all, i was looking for that perfect boot. for now, i want something brown, flat, all leather, ankle-knee-high boot. i went to aldo shoes and found this lovely boot, it has wedged heels, but i can manage that. too bad there's no pair available in my size. i'm like, a 7 or maybe 7.5, but this guy gave me this pair and said "how bout if you try 6?" helloo?!!!! i just walked out empty-handed. i was so disappointed.

next stop was kenneth cole. i was expecting that its gonna be expensive and i'm gonna spend a lot of money on this one but heck i still went inside. i found this nice brown ankle-height boot and tried it on, and it was perfect! i checked the price, from $150 it was slashed to $99. because of the black friday morning sale, i get an extra 30% off, so i just paid $70 for that pair. amazing. here's the picture...and promise, you'll fall in love.


the boots were kinda hard to walk on coz leather is kinda stiff....but once its well-worn, i consider it to be the most comfortable pair of nice boots ever.

next is my trench coat that i got from bebe. it retails for $130 and i got it 50% off, so i only paid $65. its olive green color and its a flared trench coat, so despite the deadly drab color, it still looks girly, and this thing matches my boots.



and good thing i live in new jersey....no tax on shoes and clothing!!! i'm so proud to be a jersey girl and i will always be a jersey girl!!!

Black Friday Bonanza!

so what are my plans?

i heard my parents are going to jersey gardens, so i'll tag along. they open as early as 3am, and they have lots of good deals. i'm planning to get myself a pair of knee-high boots coz i've been seeing a lot of people in campus wearing them in different shades and styles. also, i'm gonna have my yearbook picture taken so maybe i'll buy a nice top for that, and maybe i'll stop by to buy sweaters. i know this is kinda private but i'll go to victoria's secret to buy myself a nice bra, but i have a $10off coupon. i wanna avail that fashion tote bag with goodies inside that they give out every black friday.
after jersey gardens, i'm gonna drive myself to short hills mall for my make-up stuff. I NEED A NEW MASCARA! its been a staple to me. you guys have to change your mascara every 3 months don't you know that? i'm eyeing on this new MAC plushlash. still the best for me would be diorshow mascara because it gives me those full lashes without clumping and i think i get my money's worth. i'm also gonna get some curiositease pigments and soft sparkle sets and also the royal assets cool eyes palette. man, after i've been through with tons of school work, i'm gonna reward myself....spoil myself.
i need to go to sleep now to catch those early bird specials.

Tarte Palette from Sephora

It retails for about $52 at Sephora. Nice huh? this kit has everything on it.....eyeshadows, lipglosses, even their award-winning cheek stains (although they are all in pressed form....well, it doesn't matter you can just get a spare foundation brush.) i think the stuff for the eyebrows are included. Tarte is a good brand and I think one of the most expensive brands but for $52? with that many eyeshadow colors? i think this is perfect for sleepovers, people who travel a lot and emergency/mini makeovers. i don't have this kit yet but if i am financially able to get this, i'm gonna have it in seconds. (just order it online). omg, if i really have this, all i'm gonna do is play play play with this beautiful baby here!!!!
